Ed Burns returns to the Q studio to talk to Jim Kerr and Shelli Sonstein about his newest movie The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, which Shelli refers to as the 'perfect seasonal movie with a dysfunctional family'.
"I didn't want to make the sappy Christmas film, I wanted to make a film that felt like the way most family's Christmas's go down. You're just trying to survive the holidays," Burns said.
Burns explained the film as a realistic movie which many could relate to.
The Fitzgerald Family Christmas is about seven siblings who have to wrestle with the fact that their ill father, who walked out on them 20 years ago, is back and wants to spend Christmas dinner with the family. The siblings are put in a touch situation as their mother openly disapproves with a family reunion.
