Hey, Kids - welcome to Uncle Kenny's blog page! We have candy. No, not butterscotch, like my late Aunt Rosie always offered (God, if I DO live till old age, don't let me beg everyone around me to eat butterscotch or coffee nips) - but CANDY in the form of great artist pictures, amazing live performances and interviews, bizarre life moments that we can laugh at together, and general weirdness...

More About Me...
Born in Brooklyn - what does that mean? It's the reason alien space ships land in cornfields in Iowa. If they ever landed on 86th St. in Bay Ridge, 25 guys named Tony would be leaning on the horns of their blood-red Cadillacs screaming: "Hey, Pal - you gonna move that thing, or what?! Don't MAKE me get out of this car!" That's why I loved growing-up in Brooklyn.

The best part of Manhattan? The art, the theatre - I still love writing and acting for the stage. A new Ken stage play coming soon!

I even socialized with "the enemy!" (C'mon, Ranger fans, do you blame me?!)

This was all for people suffering from such a horrible disease - and in honor of loved ones who have passed on from it, like my friend, Jennifer Lopez (the original J-Lo!)

This year the Tri-State area has raised over a million dollars to fight this dreadful disease - and it's not too late to make a donation...click on the link below to help me and the ALS association of Greater New York... make Lou Gehrig's Disease history!

Many of you have asked about Bob Buchmann...

Well, as you can plainly see from this picture he sent me, the man is worn down to a nub. He's clearly had a crappy. stress-filled summer. And I have such empathy for him, having spent the summer in New England riding horses on the beach, wind-surfing, and playing with his latest toy (shown here)...

BOB ROCKS!

Thanks, Boss - for everything - always.

As always, a spectacular event for one and all that raised over $700,000 for Babies in need in our area - way to go, B'way Joe! All the sports stars were there - here's the group shot from last year (that's me in the front, next to Buddy Harrelson)

I got to talk about the Met collpase with Straw, Rob Dromhauser (their old bullpen catcher), and Bobby Ojeda...

Talked about Brett Favre with former Jets WR Welsey Walker & running back John Nitty...

met the BIGGEST man in the world (Jonathan Ogden - I am standing on a chair!)

And ended the evening discussing helmet-slaps and Bruce Springsteen over a nightcap with Deacon Jones and Gary U.S. Bonds!

But with all these sports stars, including David Boomer Wells, all the '69 Jets, HoJo, Jim Kelly, Vince Curatola and Danny Grimaldi from the Sopranos, and on and on, the highlight of my day was meeting: Justine & Jessica from the JETS FLIGHT CREW!

Umm....J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!

If you've never read "The Green Fields Of The Mind," a brilliant essay on our favorite game by the former baseball comissioner A. Bartlett Giamatti...
