I wanted to take a quick moment to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happiest of New Years. 2012 for me offered the highest of highs (the birth of my son Beckett), and some pretty heavy lows (getting hammered by Sandy which is blogged below). Trying remotely to start to wrap your head around the horror in Newtown (which is just up the road from us in CT) only begins to make one put into perspective how lucky we have it in comparison, even in tough economic times. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected by this tragedy, not to mention the folks still recovering from the hurricane.
With all the peaks and valleys through this past year, I still wake up every morning knowing that I'm truly blessed. Blessed to have a wonderful wife who's huge heart, kindness to others, unparalleled ability as a mother, and wicked sense of humor keep me amazed and grateful I have her. Blessed to have a job I love, and listeners who truly inspire me to put on the best show possible everytime I press the microphone "On" button. And blessed to be a Dad to a baby boy that makes my heart burst whenever I lay eyes on him.
Here's to 2013 being a memorable year in only the most wonderful of ways...
Warm regards,
Ian
