Police Respond to Reports of a Bloody, Dead Woman in a Car . . . And it Turns Out She was Just Passed Out in Her Zombie Halloween Costume:
Around 8:15 A.M. yesterday morning, police in Birmingham, Alabama got a call about a woman slumped over the steering wheel of her SUV, covered in blood. And the caller thought she'd been SHOT.
Cops rushed to the scene, but when they got there, they found out what was REALLY going on.
The woman was actually just slumped over the wheel of her SUV because she had PASSED OUT DRUNK in her HALLOWEEN COSTUME . . . a BLOODY, PREGNANT ZOMBIE.
And it's confirmed that she wasn't ACTUALLY pregnant, it was just part of her costume. She just had her shirt stuffed to look like a pregnant belly.
The woman was arrested for a DUI, and the cops say she took it all in stride and told them, quote, "It's all good."
A Man Trying to Siphon Gas Accidentally Set Himself, His Truck, and a Stranger's House on Fire:
You'd think anyone with the engineering skills to build a homemade electric-powered gas siphoning machine would be able to get a job where he could afford to pay for gas.
But apparently that's NOT true for 37-year-old Herbert Ridge of Mesa, Arizona. Herbert built himself an electric gas siphoning machine, so he could steal gas from other people's cars. On Wednesday, things fell apart.
Herbert was siphoning gas from a truck in a stranger's driveway when his machine SPARKED . . . and he accidentally SET HIMSELF ON FIRE.
First he rolled around in the street to try to put out the fire. When that didn't work he hopped in his truck to drive away . . . but ended up setting the cab of his truck on fire too. So he BAILED from the moving truck.
It crashed into another person's garage . . . and set THAT house on fire, too. Fortunately by this point people had come outside to see what was going on, and a neighbor was able to put out the house fire using his garden hose.
Herbert was somehow the only person injured in all of this. He was hospitalized with severe burns . . . and is facing several charges.
A Nude Woman is Arrested After Trying To Shoplift a Coat:
On Tuesday, around 3:00 P.M., a TOTALLY NAKED WOMAN in her early 30s went into a Big Lots store in Lacey, Washington.
For some reason, none of the employees stopped her as she tried on a coat . . . then tried to RUN OFF with the coat on.
Some cops happened to be outside and spotted her. They chased her and she dropped the coat . . . so now she was just running around outside naked.
She was arrested for indecent exposure.
A Guy Had a Stroke in His Office, None of His Coworkers Noticed For Five Days . . . and He Ended Up Dying:
A month ago, on the Friday before Columbus Day, 45-year-old David Norton of Portland, Maine was in his office at the University of Southern Maine. He works there as a computer specialist. And he had a STROKE.
But NO ONE NOTICED. He's single, and he must not be close to his family, because they didn't notice. And he must not be tight with his coworkers, because none of them bothered to swing by his office or take a look inside.
It wasn't until WEDNESDAY that a coworker reported he'd missed a meeting and no one could reach him. THEN they checked his office and called 911.
David was alone in the office for more than five days . . . but somehow he didn't die. He was NEAR death when the paramedics found him though. And sadly, he died in the hospital five days after that.
The University of Southern Maine says they're reviewing their policies to figure out how something like this could happen.
Five Reasons Voting for President is Like Choosing a Date:
The election is this Tuesday. And if you've never realized it, choosing a president is kinda like choosing someone to date. Here are five reasons why . . .
#1.) Choosing the Right Person Comes Down to Values. When you're looking for a relationship, the person's values are going to be a big part of your decision . . . just like when you're trying to figure out who to vote for.
#2.) You Want Someone You Can Trust. You want to know the person you choose isn't going to let you down . . . and that if they DO, for whatever reason, they're not content with disappointing you.
#3.) Compromise Is Essential. Presidential candidates have to be willing to work with others to achieve their ultimate goals . . . and relationship candidates have to be the same way, if they want things to work out long-term.
#4.) Don't Believe the Hype. Whether you're deciding to date someone or vote for someone, EVERYONE you know is going to have an opinion. But what really matters is how YOU feel about that person.
#5.) They Have to Deliver. Once "elected", the person has to fulfill their campaign promises and live up to the persona they created. They can't just check out the second things start to get rough . . . they should be in it for the long-haul.
