A Florida man who was pulled over after being involved in a hit and run told deputies that the accident was actually the fault of someone else entirely – namely, "the Germans."
Lance Burge aroused the suspicion of cops as soon as he opened the driver's side window to his Mercedes, since the front of his trousers was soaked through with what appeared to be urine. He made things worse when the officer asked for his license and registration, only to have Burge hand over a pair of nicotine patches instead.
When taken from his car and placed in the back of the police cruiser, the man began kicking at the windows, warning his captors that "the Germans are after us." (South Florida Sun Sentinel)
