The news just broke - Brett is a Jet!   As the resident #1 Jet fan allow me to say

Look, I love Chad Pennington.  He gave everything he had and more to this team and, frankly, never got a fair shake from a lot of fans.  He was successful when healthy and when he had a half decent team around him.  Most years one of those two things was missing.  Kellen Clemens may be good some day.  That day is not today.  Tomorrow isn't looking good either.  But 3 years from now after he actually gets to learn something?  Maybe.

But the future is now!  They spent about 100 million on free agents.  They have the potential for a tremendous O-line.  The defense will be vastly improved although the defensive backfield is a little suspect.  All they needed was a great QB and now they have it.  It's no guarantee that Favre will deliver the Jets to the promised land but it's going to be fun. 

I'll see you in section 10B as usual for one last great season before the Personal Seat License prices all of us real fans out of the stadium.

For once the action inside the stadium might be more fun than the action in the parking lot.  Probably not but maybe!  Brett Favre is ours!
