Join us in finding the answers for hunger and poverty with Why Hunger and support their annual Hungerthon donation drive. Donate now by visiting hungerthon.org. If you’ve recently lost your job and find it difficult to put enough food on the table, you can call the National Hunger Hotline at 1-866-3HUNGRY between the hours of 9am-5pm Mon-Fri and 10am-2pm on Saturday for help. They can connect you to food programs and services in your community.

The fourth annual Teaneck International Film Festival, a project of the nonprofit Puffin Foundation, kicks off on Nov. 20 with a party and special screening of "When the Evening Comes," starring Philip Bosco and Anne Meara. The event will benefit Holy Name Hospital's new Villa Marie Claire Hospice, Bergen County's first free-standing hospice and palliative care center, slated to open in early 2010. Light refreshments will be served and Mr. Bosco will participate in a Q&A following the screening, along with writer/actor Leo Marinello and director Craig Geraghty. The festival will present more than a dozen outstanding independent films from the U.S. and around the world throughout the weekend of Nov. 20-22.

The Harlem Hellfighters will play their first football game in New York City against Boys and Girls High School on Friday, November 20 @ 7 P.M. This event will be name the Dr. Frank N. Mickens Memorial Classic. Dr. Mickens served the educational community for more than 36 years. He was the principal of Boys and Girls H.S. for 18 years and created a legacy that will transcend generations to come.
