T.E.A.L. Walk is a non competitive 5K event that coincides with National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Participants include survivors, caregivers, families, and friends coming together to raise awareness of, and promote a cure for ovarian cancer. In addition to the Walk, there will be plenty of enjoyable activities and educational booths. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund; the leading independent agency dedicated to advancing ovarian cancer research in the United States. The mission is to raise funds to Tell Every Amazing Lady to be aware of the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer, to promote early detection and to help find the cure to this deadly disease.

The Keeping Kids Safe Project will be in town for 2 days only to provide free FBI quality digital fingerprints and photos to all families in the community. This program is absolutely free and would love to help provide an extra step of safety to your community. They will be in Springfield on Friday, September 17th from 3-7pm and Saturday, September 18th from 10am-4pm. They have invited the local Fire and Police dept to provide safety info, Karate and Gymnastics Demos. They will also have free face painting and balloons for the kids.
