Want to break into the ever-changing world of radio and digital media? There's no better place to start than by interning with Q104.3. Whether your dream career is hosting a morning show on the radio, mixing in a night club, becoming a marketing expert, or directing movies, there are plenty of internship opportuities at Q104.3 and Clear Channel Media + Entertainment to immerse you into the world of digital media.

We offer internships during all academic semesters (Spring, Summer, and Fall) in many of our business departments.

  • Looking for creative interns to assist with station website development
  • Duties include: creating Flash and static banners, designing special promotional pages within station websites, providing live web information feeds from station events, uploading photos, creating online listener surveys.
  • Assist with video production: shooting, editing, creating graphics and more.
  • Interns will learn about web design through a hands-on approach in the field.
  • Writing articles and assiting in research of entertainment topics
  • Must be able to commute to and from the offices and our East Rutherford garage
  • Some nights and weekend availability is required
  • A working knowledge of the tri-state area and mass transportation is recommended Interact with listeners at station events ranging from retail appearances to club events
  • Assist with station concerts and events, acting as a liaison for promotional events
  • Perform data entry and internet research projects, and assist with filing, mailing and other office duties as assigned
  • Maintaining a listener database of station contest winners
  • Writing copy, distributing and compiling daily prize sheets
  • Contacting daily winners to follow-up with prizing
  • Actively pulling content to maintain the station website with content, graphics, pictures, web contests and other interactive media
  • Ensuring that station vehicles are packed to successfully execute station events
  • Representing station in a positive manner at station events
  • Responsible for assisting the Program Directors and on-air talent with daily tasks as well as special projects
  • Duties include: contesting, screening listener calls, and updating jock personality pages
  • As a production intern, you will learn what it takes to put together a live show by working closely with our programming and on-air staff

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can Intern with Q104.3?

A: Our internships are open to college students who are able to receive college credit. Interns must live or attend school in the tri-state area. Interns must be in good academic standing and able to make available 20-25 per week. Student must also possess good work ethics such as punctuality, self-motivation, a willingness to learn and be people oriented and serious about moving their career forward.

Q: I already graduated college. Can I still intern?

A: Sorry, you must be able to receive academic credit from an accredited institution of higher education to take part in our internship program.

Q: How much do your internships pay?

A: Our internships are unpaid. You must be receiving college credit to intern with us. Additionally, our internship program does not provide transportation cost reimbursement.

Q: What will I do while I'm interning?

A: Exact responsibilities depend on your specific internship. We have opportunities in several departments, including Programming, Promotions, Web, Video, Sales, and IT, just to name a few.

Q: How long do internships last?

A: Internship length is typically one semester, as defined by your college's internship guidelines.
