Phil Collins reportedly will be working with British superstar Adele in his first post-retirement project. The former Genesis star revealed in an interview (via Ultimate Classic Rock) that Adele contacted him about working together.
“She contacted me to write together,” Collins told TV host Dave Aizer. “I actually wasn’t too aware of her. You know, I live in a cave, I think. But she has achieved an incredible amount, and I really love her voice. I love some of that stuff that she’s done.”
Collins explained that his children actually made him aware of Adele who reached superstardom after Collins retired a few years ago. Adele's most recent album 21, continues to break sales records, most recently becoming the first digital album to sell over three million copies, according to Rolling Stone.
It's not clear yet if Collins is working with Adele on her third studio album, but the "Someone Like You" singer is alreadly reportedly gearing up for a world tour to promote her upcoming album.
